Commercial Bus Drivers and Conductors to wear Uniform next year The Lagos state Commissioner for Transportation, Comrade Kayode Opeifa while speaking at a stakeholders meeting in Lagos yesterday revealed that come 2014 the Lagos state government would be introducing the use of uniforms and badges for commercial bus drivers and conductors. He said the move is geared towards proper identification & effective management of the public transportation sector.

Woolwhich killers, Michael Adebolajo and Adebowale found guilty Woolwich killers, Michael Adebolajo (left) and his friend, Michael Adebowale (right) have been found guilty of the murder of British soldier, Lee Rigby.  25 year old Rigby was attacked by t he Muslim extremists o n May 22 outside his military barracks in Woolwich South London. They first run the soldier down with their car while he was returning from an errand, then mutilated and nearly beheaded him in a crime that happened in broad day light. It took the jury only 90 minutes to come back with a guilty verdict. Adebolajo reportedly kissed the Koran and smiled as the verdicts were read but Adebowale didn't react. They will both be sentenced next month.

Mubi attack: Army kills 12 escaping gunmen in shoot-out Beyidi Martins, the Commanding Officer of the Special Battalion enforcing the state of emergency in Mubi, Adamawa, said soldiers killed 12 gunmen who attacked Mubi Central Market on Wednesday. About 20 gunmen attacked bureau de change shops in the market, killing and injuring about 10 people while they stole an undisclosed amount of local and foreign currencies. Fake South African sign interpreter admitted to a psychiatric hospital The sign translator at Nelson Mandela's Memorial Service, who was accused of being  fake , and making up his own signs, has been admitted to a psychiatric hospital , local media report.  Thamsanqa Jantjie's wife reportedly took him to a psychiatric hospital near Johannesburg for a check-up on Tuesday December 18th, and the doctors suggested that he be admitted immediately, Johannesburg's The Star newspaper reports. "The past few days have been hard. We have been supportive because he might have had a breakdown," Mrs Jantjie is quoted as saying. Kelly responds to Village Voice story about past sexual assault allegations R.Kelly has responded to the Village Voice  shocking article  about his history of alleged sexual abuse of teenage girls which centered around an interview with Chicago Sun-Times music journalist, Jim DeRogatis, who broke the story 15 years ago. During an interview with Atlanta’s  V-103 , R.Kelly had this to say about the article; "Well I feel like I got the football man, and I’m running towards the touchdown and if I stop and look back or mess around, I’ll get tackled.
