Microsoft unveils the New Windows 11 packed with New Amazing Features

 




Microsoft unveiled a new operating system; Windows 11 in a virtual event on Thursday 24th June 2021 marking a strategic shift from providing major updates to improve the current Windows 10 OS that was launched in 2015. The New Operating System was designed to bring users closer to the people and things they love. 

Windows 11 looks beautiful, simple and will also include support for running Android applications. It comes with new standout features which would be talked about in this post and would further be expatiated on when the beta version gets released in July to participants in Microsoft Insider Programme which i am a part of. The

New Graphical User Interface (GUI) and Re-invented Start Menu


Windows 11 comes with a new Start Menu without WIndows 10 famous app live tiles. It also includes a re-invented Start button that is centred on a streamlined taskbar to make it easier and faster to find what you need. The Start Menu and Apps' interface have more rounded corners that is bettered with news colours, better -looking system fonts, transitions and an improved dark mode that makes the OS visually appealing to its users.

Android Applications' Support

I am particularly excited about this feature as this will make Windows 11, the World's First Cross-Platform PC/ Tablet OS. With this, users will have the ability to sideload android apps onto the Operating System apart from using Amazon App store which will be available through the Microsoft  store for when the OS is released for public use.

Snap Groups and Layouts

One of the standout new features in Windows 11 is the Snap Groups and Snap Layouts feature. This helps you multitask in an easier and powerful way. These are designed to help you organize your windows and optimize your screen's space in the best possible way in just any layout appealing to you.

Integration of Microsoft Teams 
Microsoft Teams will be built directly into Windows 11 and will be integrated in the taskbar for users. Users will be able c connect with their contacts through text, chat, voice or video through Teams and from the taskbar.

Windows 11 Widgets

This was introduced in the last major update on Windows 10. Windows Widget powered by AI will bring you all the information and interests you care about in a more personalized form. At a glance, you can scroll thorough the latest news items/ stories, weather updates, photos, messages and more.
